Dreams

Postby Zyta on Sat Jan 16, 2010 4:51 pm

Not the kind where you hope and plan for the future, but the kind found usually lost amid thought during sleep.

Last night I had a crazy dream. I, a male, was pregnant. I don't know if it was just me or the world i was in since i didn't see anyone else pregnant. I don't even know who my partner was, if any. >_> Anyways, there was this huge plane in the sky, but a smaller one comes out of it and flies down to me. It turns into a miniature plane about the size of half of my legs; i look in and see Hiro saying he's taking me to Chile to deliver. For some reason I was in Florida, strange seeing as I don't live there, never been there. Momosu was there. In the end, I said 'I quit' and woke up >_>;;;

Time to share yours.

Re: Dreams

Postby SK on tour on Sat Jan 16, 2010 6:35 pm

The dream I had tonight consisted of me hanging out in a hotel... which was conveniently attached to a mall via elevators.
A bunch of my family, Abu, and a few people I didn't recognize were watching some show, movie, or sport on the hotel TV.
They seemed completely focused on it, and I was quite saddened that not even Abu wanted to leave the hotel room to check out the mall.

...so I went by myself. While wandering the mall, I needed to head to the restroom. Whilst in the restroom, I heard a man screaming in pain in one of the toilet stalls. I went to check up on him and asked if he needed any help. He said it was too late for him and that I needed to deliver a letter of his to "16689" which was the address for the store in the mall (each store had their own numbers). Apparently the letter was to warn some scientist guy that the athletes were being poisoned, so I assumed the poor guy in the can was an athlete himself.

I ran throughout the mall, trying to find "16689". I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. The mall was huge, but I'm darn sure I checked everywhere. The weirdest thing was "16689" was being skipped in the numbers! I would find "16688" and "16690", but no "16689".
I checked every part of the mall, including the hotel elevators, the really awesome back-of-the-mall-and-forgotten glow-in-the-dark store with several unique toys and contraptions, and the upstairs B-film theater (which I remember from another dream). No signs of "16689".

I went outside the mall to get a breather... and that's when I saw two youngin's headin' my way. They weren't kids, they were just slightly younger than me, and I call anyone even an hour younger than me a "youngin'". So yeah. They were headin' my way and seemed to be smiling. But once they were about to pass me by, they suddenly turned and started attacking me. I blocked and dodged a few blows, but my hits were barely doing anything to them. They grabbed the letter out of my hand and opened it. They showed me the letter and told me it was an invitation to a tournament, and that I was invited. The two smirked and walked off.
But one of them seemed to have snapped out of a mind-control-thing and turned towards me. He said to me that he didn't want to do this, that none of them wanted to do this, but they were under mind control - and they were put under this control after losing in the tournament. He told me that I shouldn't try to avoid the tournament, because they'll kill me and my family. He said I should just train as much as I could before the tournament (which was in two days). Snapping back into mind control, he smirked and walked away.
It was then that I realized he had the same voice as the man screaming in the toilet.
It seems I was trapped into this... though it definitely had a lot of unnecessary parts.

I was about to head back inside the mall when a fist barely scraped my cheek. A youngin' with a red slick jacket and cool shades (typical 80s-90s b@d@ss) was attacking me. After blocking a few more of his blows, he stopped, smirked, and told me good luck in the tournament. As he walked off, he shouted "Not all of us are under mind control. Some of us want to do this. And we get to keep control. Let's hope you do, too."

I went back in the mall and headed back up the elevators into the hotel. Once I got in, everybody just carelessly asked where I've been. And even Abu just said "Oh, you're back." Which was quite depressing for me, as I was gone for at least 4 hours.

I grabbed a drink and headed down the stairs that led into the condo section beside the hotel. Once reaching the bottom, I noticed a man clearing out his garage. It was perfect, the garage had so much space and had even a few punching bags. I asked the man if I could train in there, and he just nodded and led me into a back room in his condo. ...so apparently I couldn't train in his garage, but I could train in the messy little hovel. He cleared some space and just left the room.

I started training... As the hours of training passed me by, I kept thinking to myself "I'm not fit for these tournaments anymore... I haven't trained in so long, my instincts aren't even up and running correctly." Which was a sad truth.

As night started to fall and I continued to train, I suddenly WOKE UP.

.......I am SO glad that was a dream.
I'm not fit to fight anymore.
...unless it's an anything-goes, because I'm totally bringing a crowbar.

And yeah. I hate long dreams when I'm given responsibility. :(

@Zyta - gahh! I have pregnant dreams too!! or dreams where I have little kids running around, such a relief to wake up LOL

The last dream I had, was a few nights ago now, I was on a ship that was going out towards sea & I was looking back towards the land where we came from and there were houses on fire, that's all I remember, curious to know if there was some kind of meaning behind it!

@ SK:  sorry Darling~

i usually have weird dreams, but what's even weirder is that i kinda see the future in some of my dreams. it's never anything important, like lottery numbers or preventing a terrorist attack. . . it's more like walking down a certain hallway, sitting in a certain seat during class, or a certain image in a video game. . .

however, i do remember bits of a dream(s) last night:

1. Ludachris was one my team in Mass Effect 2. . . which is actually pretty awesome when you think about it.

2. someone crashed into my Jeep, and the whole hood section was peeled open. . .

:cookie: hopefully that 2nd one doesn't come true~

Re: Dreams

Postby SK on tour on Mon Feb 08, 2010 12:29 am

Gotta' type it before I forget it...

Guess I was more tired than I thought... anyways!

I was walking through some elementary/middleschool section of some school. And apparently the kids were talking about how some of the girls were having sex with some of the guys after school. ...kids these days. :P
I went around the corner and one little boy was asking a girl if she had sex with the other boy. She kept saying no and for him to calm down, she said she was just went out drinking with him, nothing to worry about. O_o

After a few more minutes of walking, I found a section of the school with rows of seats filled with kids wearing badges. They were all talking about an MMORPG. Soo... they've been having sex in the MMO in order to create extra "lives" via virtual children, and yeah... and their badges came from Achievements they got in the game.

They were having some kind of meeting, reviewing what they did throughout last night's playthrough. The boy that was asking the girl earlier - was asking the head of the "committee" who that girl's been teaming up with in the past few days. Much like the girl, the head was telling him that he should calm down. She's been working with a character named "Falcomb". At first, the boy was jealous, then the girl suddenly spoke up "Falcomb, Billy. Remember? Your AI pet griffin in the game?"... embarrassed, the boy acted as if he knew.
The meeting continued with laughter and conversation. Apparently Billy's character's name was Mr. Miyagi, since his character looked like him. The character was a monk class, and all the monks kinda' looked like Mr. Miyagi. The meeting was unsure if that made Billy a racist for pointing that out if no one else pointed it out, or if the creators of the MMO were racist for making it. Then I wondered if it really is "racist". I mean, the class looked like a PERSON, not a race. That's not racist really. The idea that all monks are old asian men and that all old asian men look like Mr. Miyagi, THAT'S RACIST - but that's looking too far into it. Maybe the creators just really liked Mr. Miyagi.

Then their guest of honor came in, it was Mr. Miyagi. ......O_o

And he started talking about some proverb about how all things should be in balance, how all the elements should be in balance. And then he talked about a fish who could soar through the sky, because he accepted the element of the sky, and that the kids shouldn't limit themselves as to what they could do or what they wanted just because it seemed impossible or improbable. The kids were listening intently, and were quite in awe at this revelation in themselves.

The next day, all the kids were doing what they wanted to do. One kid was fishing for the biggest fish in order to win the fishing tournament that was happening this weekend. One kid was trying to be a breakdancing superstar. One kid admitted her love to one kid. Another kid was swimming through the ocean (that was near the school O_o) in order to be a fish? And one kid was training to be the fastest man in the world.
All this fun and joy and determination was great... until two days later.

Two days later, the school was in ruins.
Several kids were running around half-crazed. Some kids looked really messed up.
One of them ran up to me, begging me for help. "What do you want me to do?"
"Help us!"
"Er...why?"
"Because..."
"Because... I'm Asian?"
"..."
"Whatever, okay."
The kid walked me around, showing me the problems with the kids. The kid that was trying to win in the fishing tournament had fallen asleep at the pole. He had gone for days without rest, fishing and fishing. Now he was dead-asleep, not even flinching whenever someone tried to wake him. Definitely not fit for the fishing tournament that was coming up in an hour.
The kid that was trying to breakdance had broken two of his limbs trying to do some impossible poses... worse off, he had kept trying to breakdance even after he had broken them, leading to several more injuries.
The kid that admitted her love had become overprotective. She would never leave his side, but the real problem was, she wouldn't allow him to hang out with anyone else, or for that matter: get NEAR anyone else.

I decided to resolve that problem first. I pulled her "lover" away from her. She freaked. Screaming that he was hers. That he was hers that he was hers that he was hers. I tried talking some sense, but she kept screaming over my voice. She then grabbed a nearby bat and smashed it to pieces against the floor. o_o ...she walked away with a fuss.

The kid that was swimming the ocean, had never left it. And now no one could find him.
And the kid training to be the fastest man in the world was in a wheelchair. He had messed up his leg muscles after refusing to stop running. Now he was trying to race with his wheelchair, with several bruises to show his trips down the stairs.

...I was at a loss (or more accurately: Without a care. I have no idea why I kept coming to this school).

A slow clapping came from a distance. As it got louder, kids started getting quieter, and started to stop in their tracks.
It was Mr. Miyagi.
He sat down on a tree stump (that strangely appeared in the middle of the playground) and asked the kids to sit down around him. They did so.
He had laughed at the kids' injuries and problems. Some of the kids didn't look too happy about that.
The kid that had dragged me around, had raised his hand and asked why all this happened. Asked him why he ever taught them to do this.

He laughed again. He then told all this kids to "shush".
He then retold the story of the fish who could soar through the sky. A kid tried to stop him from retelling it, "We already heard this", he got "shush"ed.
As the story continued, it showed the fish going through hardships. At first, being rejected by stubborn family members, then distrusting strangers, then eventually by his encouraging friends. And worse than all of this: He was rejected by his home, the sea.
Mr. Miyagi spoke about how the fish flew through the sky so often and so beautifully, he had forgotten how to swim, he had forgotten how to breathe water. The ocean became a cold and dangerous mistress to him, something that had once cradled him and given him the life to live.
"You see, the fish accepted the sky element, but has refused the ocean element in the process. There was no balance, there was only the sky to the fish."
"Then why did you tell us that story?" one kid asked.
"Because the fish had ignored his boundaries, and was one step closer to balance."
"No, I mean, why did you tell us that story if you knew we were going to mess up like the fish?"
"So you can feel what the fish had felt. That freedom. You had ignored your boundaries, but refused it as well. Boundaries are not just walls and chains that keep you still, they are also the ground you stand on and the air you breathe. For the fish, it was his ocean.

For a fish, the ocean is everything. So he had refused everything he once knew, much like yourselves. You may reach your dreams and your love, but to refuse everything you once were, you will lose yourself. Though many live without balance, they can always gain it. You? By losing yourself, by refusing your boundaries, you refuse yourself, you refuse the chance for balance. You block yourself off, and you will live in a madness. Always needing to do something new, because you cannot rest with yourself, you cannot find a home. A fish who cannot return to the ocean."

The kids nodded in understanding.

....then Mr. Miyagi brought out smores.

It was delicious.
